Through my most recent playthrough of Kingdom Hearts, I’m discovering something that sets it apart from the rest of the game — if not the rest of the series. When I played through Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX several years ago, I quickly realized why this wasn’t “one of the best games ever” I grew up playing on my PS2.
Sure, as far as nostalgia goes, I was obsessed with the game when I played it for the first time. Yet over time, I feel that many of its mechanics did not age as well as its contemporaries from its generation. Despite that, one world stood out among the rest and made the game feel whole and complete.
